Dr Anthony ZambelliBSc(Hons) BVSc DiplSenMgmt MMedVet(Med)
Dr Zambelli qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1998 from Onderstepoort and as a specialist cum laude (with distinction) in 2008. He has worked in general practice in South Africa and the UK (1998 - 2003) and as a lecturer at Onderstepoort (2003 - 2006). Other work experience includes a stint as Veterinary Business & Technical Advisor for Hill's Pet Nutrition UK (2001-2002) and for Royal Canin SA (2006-2007). He also has an Honours degree in Zoology from Wits Uni, and the Diploma in Senior Management from the Open University (UK). Dr Zambelli's name appears in Maquis' Who's Who in the World 28th edition (2011) of 61,000 most influential personages for his medical achievements.

He has 2 dogs (Titus, the practice mascot and Tiger, a Great Dane).

For recreation, Dr Z reads (a lot!), enjoys Scuba diving, DIY around the house and spending time with friends.

Dr Nicky Evans BVSc
Dr Evans qualified from Onderstepoort in 1999 and has been a general practitioner in the upper highway area since that time.
In her spare time she mountain bikes and spends time with her family and her dog Maggie.
Dr Arina Pimosenco BVSc Hons
Dr Pimosenco qualified as a veterinary surgeon cum laude (with distinction) in 2007 in Eastern Europe.

She has worked in Johannesburg suburbs mostly with small animals from 2009 to 2016.

She also completed Honours Degree in Veterinary Medicine and Radiology in 2014 from Onderstepoort.

In her free from work time Arina enjoys yoga, spends time with her family and 3 pets (2 dogs and an African Grey)
Dr Jose Almansa Ruiz DVM (Hons) MSc (Vet)
Jose is originally from the south of Madrid, in Spain.Jose's has a Pyrenean Mountain dog called Akiles, he is 10 years old.

Jose chose dental care because he found a gap in the Veterinary practices that needs to be fulfilled and that gap is dentistry.

A part from doing surgeries on cats and dogs, Jose is also involved in some projects treating dental or beak conditions of wild animals in captivity in Africa and other parts of the world.

Jose is currently undertaking a 6 year residency program to become a recognised specialist in veterinary dentistry.
Dr Gerhard SteenkampBSc BVSc MSc PhD
Dr Steenkamp qualified as a veterinarian from Onderstepoort in 1994. He then pursued his special interest in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery in the UK, where he attended the inaugural course in Veterinary Dentistry at the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies.

On his return to South Africa in 1998, Gerhard joined the Veterinary faculty at Onderstepoort and also consulted and treated referral cases from the Johannesburg Animal Eye Hospital and the Cape Animal Medical Centre.

Gerhard is an active researcher and his areas of interest relates to dentistry and especially pathology of the maxillofacial complex of wildlife, but also small animals.

His passion for wildlife and zoology has resulted in his national and international involvement in various conservational programs relating to rhino and cheetah with active participation in school projects amongst others.

Specialist Anaesthetics:
Dr Kenneth Joubert BVSc MMedVet (Anaes)
Kenneth graduated with a BVSc from The University of Pretoria in 1995. After graduating he joined small animal practice in Johannesburg for 2 years before returning to the University of Pretoria.

In 2000 he obtained a MMedVet (Anaes) and held the position of senior lecturer in anaesthesiology at the university. In 2004 he left the university to re-join private practice before starting his own referral practice in anaesthesiology, pain management and critical care.

In his spare time he is runner having completed the Comrades marathon a few times and doing numerous trail runs.

Veterinary Nurses:

Timika has always had a passion for animals and wanted to work with them since she was a child, the Lord has blessed her to live out her passion.

She believe it's always the small things that count more in life then the big things.

Sam is passionate about animals, music, arts and crafts, singing and is an avid sports fan. Sam enjoys a good braai with great friends and loves the outdoors.
